Superheated Steam Cleaning
Who we work with

Precise Stone Cleaning Technology
Our stone cleaning technology includes Doff and Thermatech super-heated steam cleaning and Jos/Torc and Vortech swirl abrasive cleaning. Superheated steam cleaning uses a minimal amount of water which avoids over-saturating the stone which can be damaging. Because of the heat, the water will usually evaporate within a matter of minutes. This method of cleaning also avoids the use of harmful chemicals which could cause a chemical reaction and decay of the stone.
Our stone cleaning technicians have very fine levels of control over the pressure and temperatures used and will start as gently as possible, increasing either only when needed. There are many considerations they take into account, including the type of stone, the type of dirt that is being removed and how it is affecting the stone and what affect removing it will have. Some types of stone are very soft and porous and are at greater risk of damage if not cleaned by experienced professionals. Other types of stone are much more likely to stain if the wrong type of water is used. Harder stones like limestone and marble are much more vulnerable to etching damage and should also be cleaned by a professional.
